Mind control coming to your PC just in time for Christmas
Emotiv Systems, Mind reading brain-computer interface gets reviewed at BusinessWeek. Wile still fine-tuning their mind-reading headset called the Epoc, Emotiv Systems is planning to ship their mind reading interface at the end of this year for $299. The device tested purports to eavesdrop on your thoughts and translate them into computer instructions, so you can play a game or arrange photos without using your hands or speaking words. The neuroheadset” uses EEG and has 16 sensors that reads the brain’s electrical signals and communicates your thoughts wirelessly with your PC. It works by tracking the patterns your neurons make as they fire. Since no two people’s patters are alike it requires training which is done via an included fantasy game training program. The headset looks dorky and I would not be seen in public wearing one but it did work perfectly. To find out more details ablout how it works read the rest of the article at BusinessWeek.
