Kohjinsha EX6, 11.6" touch screen netbook

Kohjinsha has released their newest netbook the EX. The EX stands out from the crowed netbook pack with a rotatable touch screen, pointing stick controller on the bezel, 2 web cameras, integrated DVD-RW drive and high resolution 1366x768 LDC. Other standout features for a netbook are the Express/34 slot, Fingerprint reader, 1GB LAN, 801.11 N WiFi and 2GB RAM. The EX weights in at chubby 1.7kg (about 3 pounds) and is said to have a 4.5 hour battery life(?!).
Compare with the Gigabyte T1028X which is a similar device...
Kohjinsha's pricing for the high end model will start at about 69,800 YEN. There is a low end model which starts at 59,800 yen without Bluetooth or fingerprint reader, Available at Conics.net at the end of August.

Kohjinsha SC3 SC3WP06GA Video Overview

As promised, a full Video Overview of the new Kohjinsha SC3WP06GA. This is the higher end SC3 with GPS and Bluetooth 2.0. Click on the link at the bottom to see the Youtube version of link below that to see the bigger High Resolution version ( 48mb file) We liked the SC3 a lot and found it the best of the Kohjinsha computers so far. The ATOM 1.33 CPU performed better than we expected. We ran the SC3 with 2GB of RAM which is a necessity with any Vista OS computer. The 15mm pitch keyboard took time to get used to but after a few hours it was fine. Thank you to Conics.net and KabatTek.com for the computer.

Kohjinsha SC3KP06A gets photographed with Sony U101

Conics.Net has received their first shipment of Kohjinsha SC3 and has posted photos of them compared to the similar sized older Sony PCG-U101 (from 2003!)

Some good news for those wanting to run Windows Vista: the SC3 and by association, SX3 will support 2GB RAM.

Conics will be doing more testing (with Vista, XP and Linux) and plans to be shipping to customers and review sites by the end of the day.
